interview with the vampire

can i stress stress some more?

yesterday, i had my final interview at PSBank. shempre, i had to wake up early kasi my interview is at 10am. while i was taking a bath, i accidentally put soap in my eye...shet. tapos, i had to commute all the way to makati. haha.. when i arrived at ayala station, i was too tired to even entertain the thought of riding a jeep. instead, i readily took a cab. hmm, for a destitute like me, im proving to be more than extravagant.

anyway, the interview went fine... until the interviewer asked me if i was good in math. uh-oh... great... now, math is ruining my life, like what is has been doing for the the past 20 years (OA). shempre, i was honest when i said na i dont like math. but no, tinanong ako ng math problem.. actually, multiplication lang pero alam nyo naman ako, i cringe at the sound/ sight of numbers. as expected, i fucked up. grrr..

i got so depressed kasi nga ok na sana everything except the math question eh.. tapos, i have no more datung. haaay, andami kasi gastos eh. out of my frustration, i walked from PSbank tower to glorietta. galing nga kasi i dont really know the way. buti na lng magaling akong manghula .. haha.. imagine the heat, the stilettos, the long sleeves.. i could have died from exhaustion.. pero since i was depressed/ frustrated, it felt good to actually release the tension. so there.. to complete my de-stressing, i bought Mcflurry from Mcdonald's before i go home.. but Que horror, i was stopped by the evil security lady. grrrr.... kainis, kahiya, kakastress.

pero since im an uber dedicated Ecosocer, i went to school after my interview so i can prepare for the launching today. mega dance kami to the tune of bright lights by billy crawford (craw-ferd) which is included in our much publicized SPot look and Glisten OST. hahaha.. atribida Pub kasi kami! isa itong hyper dance with old school steps. shempre, dahil di naman ako kagalingang sumayaw, medyo centuries ang binilang bago ko nakuha (na hindi namn talaga nakuha, magaling lang akong magpanggap).

haay, finally my day has ended. i went home, exhausted from the interview, the commuting, the dancing and the world's neglect of my personal dilemmas. but then again, its all in a days work.

Life Comes in Ph(r)ases: 02.22.05

wake up, its a beautiful morning.
greeted my beloved gorj and cousin Pink Happy birthday.
wait for the announcements from 4 radio stations. Thank God for digital components.
another 2 media sponsors, confirmed.
brought my not-so tshirt pub shirt to school for silk screening. grrr from sushi girl.
hated the 1:30 pm heat.
went to powerbooks mega to meet tubby.
thank God, aircon.
where the hell is she? gotta find..
oops... books on witchcraft and spells.
shirking.
i want to be a witch.
saw my gorgeous friend TUbby.
left mega and went to strata 2000 for radio station visit. walked our way.
grrr... my stilettos are killing me.
station hopping.
jam: nice station. edited the spiel we have.
rx: approved. snob boss. nice office.
left strata.
walked.
saw my neighbor.
rode FX to mega.
walked.
took an MRT to boni.
walked.
my lung (not to mention my face) is black from the urban pollution.
went to the washroom to fix ourselves.
rt. nice crowd. cluttered office. amiable boss. funny DJ.
freebies!
magic: saw miles and joey. contact person, not there. call again tom.
klite. no contact person either.
left boni.
waited for ride to come.
my feet just died.
took a jeep ride to crossing.
PSBank called to inform me of my interview tom.
grrr.. again, a day before the interview. how evil.
crossing mall.
ate at KFC.
accidentally mistook a guy to be the gravy guy (but is actually a customer).
went to Tubby's favorite ukay ukay.
made fun of the clothes.
felt like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie of Simple Life.
(we should be in a reality show)
saw some cute items though.
went home.
grrr.. MRT full.
got lost in the "MMDA maze"...
instead of riding a project 6 jeep, i used the footbridge and walked my way to mindanao ave.
just said my eulogy to my feet.
went home.
adhoc-tf launching on my mind.
tired. tired. tired.
with dead feet being buried.

that was my day in a nutshell.

from Workout to Worked Out to Out of Work

this is one helluva tiring day.

i was 15 minutes early for my pilates class and haha.. we had a fitness exam... shempre, they got our height, weight, body fat etc etc.. i must admit i wasnt really as fit as i wanted to be.. nalolow eq nga ako dahil i think im the urhm, "meatiest", in the class e.. pero wag ka, hyper flexible ang lola mo. na impress yung guy intern na nagmemeasure.. (haha.. i know im flexible.. )

tsaka my body mass was "good" as compared to "overweight", "obese" and "low"... hah. also, in terms of my waist-hip ratio, i was "low risk".. ano yun? CHK major, help.

i had my PSbank thingie set at 1pm.. shempre, i had nothing to wear so right after my PE class, i went straight to the mall to cram. i bought a white, cute top from shapes and it was too late for me to realize that the fabric was the "gusot mayaman" type. i spent the entire day worrying about the wrinkles.

shempre, i was with Flamethrower, my Uber tall friend who makes me appear like a dwarf/ figurine when im with her. we met up at the Quezon Ave Mrt station and we both agreed we hated wearing skirts. (why PSbank, why???)

and as usual, weird (not to mention stupid) things happened to us. (I believe t.v. producers should make a reality show that stars us. it will be a major hit) what are the chances that MRT would break down when we're in hurry? well, the MRT did break down for 20 minutes sa may shaw station.. shempre, bad trip na kami ni flamethrower. tapos, instead of going down at the ayala station, sa buendia kami bumaba.... this is 1245 pm, so imagine the heat... grrrrr talaga.

tapos, we arrived at PSbank towers ng 10 before 1 and voila, we werent allowed to go up.. 1 pa daw pwede... hmmmph.. peste.

anyway, when we went up na nga (finally!) we took an exam for customer service something... haha..and as expected, may mga tanong dun about dealing with customers like: have you ever had negative thoughts about another person? blah blah blah.. bottom line is, they were asking us if we can deal with irate customers properly... hmmm... tama kami ni flamethrower... if we dont lie, we will never get a job..

tapos, there was a short talk and then the interview. grabe, guess what position are we being considered? collection assistant! as in collector ng utang.. hmmmph..

anyway, i tried to answer like im really interested in the job, although im bored to death just listening to the job description. the interview went well, and i'll be called for a final interview probably next week..

im not super thrilled with the job kaya i guess ill have to job hunt pa ren..

so there it was, my first attempt to enter the Labor force.

Future. Present. Past: My Life in Backward Motion

Future Vulture.

grrr... right now, im hating PS bank. talk about cramming, baby! shempre, just when i've already accepted the fact na i didnt pass the exam, there they go calling me today to inform me about my interview tom. wow, its not that im not happy. i am. this is a potential job opportunity and although i dont really have any intentions of working in a bank, passing the exam is a good thing for my ego. SHempre,to my surprise, they texted me nga about my interview. eh i had a management class kanina so i cant reply.. nung nagka 10 minute break kami, i went all the way to CS (from TMC, ang layo noh) just so i can use the payphone (my battery's dying).

but before i called PSbank, i had to give Flamethower a call to tell her that we were having class and then i asked her if we're going together for the interview. of course, i didnt know what my schedule was so i cant really ask her specifically. to my horror, she told me that we have to wear SKIRT... skirt?!?! hell will freeze over before i wear skirt in public! there will be a blood bath in Makati!!! (psycho theme song playing in the background) of course im kidding. Although i must admit, i was about to say no pero the thought of not getting a shot at my first ever job interview held me back. Bad Omen.

SO there, i met up with Flamethrower sa SM after class and did our shirt shopping. While trying out some clothes which were either too long or too loose (apparently, age guessing is not the only thing i suck at but also size estimation), i came to the conclusion that Firms should not force me to wear skirts... its not really for my own personal reasons. I was just doing them a favor of not exposing what should be left unexposed. bahala ang PSbank, they will eventually turn into pillars of salt.

Present Sentiments.

I hate our BA 190 exam! i hate it! i hate it! i didnt know how to answer it.. sana di na lang ako nag attempt mag aral.. additional kilo na naman sa eyebags kO.. grrr.

suddenly, anger turns into tenderness.

i remember the talks SUshi girl and WOnder Girl and I had this week.. aaw, motmot. im gonna miss those kids. wala nang magreremind sa akin how bitchy i became when i got heartbroken. hahaha. (kidding).. seriously, im gonna miss having those kinds of talk. im gonna miss having to make them laugh. im gonna miss them.. the people i had serious/ out-of-this-world connection with. the three of us have so much in common yet we are extremely different din.. ewan ko ba. weird. I have yet to experience UP fair. but tomorrow, i will. SAmantha, im so excited na! haha.. sana hindi ako mashadong ma depress sa interview ko tom (panel ito)...

Past's a Blast.

shempre, im reminded of yesterday... i cried because of the things wonder girl and I recounted. kainis, wala lang... hehe. its nothing ren naman. at least i know what thoushallnotbenamed liked in me. Wonder girl said that HE liked the fact na i had a strong impact/ personality daw. haha.. ang weird. isnt that the reason we "broke up?" uhm, hindi pala.. pero one of the reasons pala. ah basta.. haha.. its nice to know that im not as "ordinary" as i thought. im tired.

p.s.

nalolow EQ ako.. i have the ugliest Blogsite... technostressed kc eh! can anyone help me beautify my "baby?"

V-daY (i put the V in Vitter)

I loathe the new look of friendster. What’s with the pink and hearts? People (and websites) should be more sensitive to other people’s feelings. Not everyone celebrates Valentines day kaya Pleeeeeease! (halata bang jaded?)

Of course, I was kidding, though not on the part of the color abhorrence. I do hate pink.

I watched Orange and Lemons last night at the Econ party which, as expected, had a scant audience. It was depressing. Anyway, they were great! I even had my picture taken with one of the vocalists (The one with curly hair). He didn’t believe me when I said I was a huge fan. With a 3 – inch stilettos, three-fourths Bayo Knit shirt and black slacks (I had a case!), he must have thought I was a professor. Oh well, they were fun to watch. The other bands, although not as famous, were good din. The Beatles- sounding/ looking Bloomfield was great (although they gave me the creeps when they walked past me wearing their Lolo suit and tie). Makopa, an acid jazz band from UP, was uniquely sexy. I’m actually familiar with the vocalist. She was the one who makes harana every Valentine’s day (UP Music Circle’s annual fundraising event). An econ band played din. Miko is sooooo cute. That Kid has “heartthrob” plastered on his forehead.

Anyway, I was able to bond with Frodo. Haaay, nagsama sama ang mga bitter and jaded sa mundo. (t’was great, frodo)

Sugar and Spice Boy (two becomes one of econ) dating?? My Heart just broke. Nevertheless, im happy for both of them, kahit wala pang nangyayari. Maybe, just maybe, Sugar can do something to improve Spice boy’s personality and confidence. (so he can ask me out na..hahaha)

I hate this. I’ve been trying to download the new song by Tori Amos and so far, out of the 2 songs I’ve saved so far, nothing’s playing. Grrrr…

Im shirking again… ive yet to finish reading a chapter of my BA 190 book.. I need to read 4 chapters. Mommy, I don’t want to study anymore..

I cried at the last two episodes of the Amazing race. Aaron proposed to Hayden on national TV! How sweet is that? Haaay, it’s the love bug.

Tsaka the part when Kris (britney doppelganger) and Jon were waiting for the train to pass by… haaay, they kissed like “care ko ba kung matalo kami? We’re insanely in love, we dont fight, we are both good looking, we have great bodies, we won travel packages to almost all the beautiful places in the world, and we're nice... unlike most people)... why cant i meet someone like Jon?

Phil, you are the best host ever. I love you.. (plus the fact that ur a New Zealander)

G, (former Samantha), I love you. Miss you so much… haaaay, bitter ever tayo.

Happiness is.. Two Kinds of Shirking

Gorj, can i shirk for a while?

I should be doing our thesis right now, but im wasting precious moments, not doing anything. ( i love you TP, im sorry..hehe)

weird but i find myself smiling for no apparent reason. i dont know why. maybe because we can finally submit our first draft (once i accomplish this darn RRL) or maybe because im bonding with my friends alot. i dont know, i dont really want to know, i might lose that ray of sunshine kasi. Although i should be thinking about Unilever case and thesis...but no. haha.

i should be stressed, and in a way, i am. but i guess im learning the art of optimism. (please Lord, dont let this end)

i miss my samantha darling.. and my carrie babe, and charlotte dear. cant wait til samantha's bday... gimmick! gimmick! gimmick!

here are some of the things im looking forward to:

1. a date with samantha (lets watch a very long engagement..or porn, para maiba.. hahaha...)
2. my Makiling overnight camping with Tubby, Flamethrower, Queer, Mamba and her family on saturday... wahoo!!
3. My V-day bonding session with the Perk's Squad.. (halata bang dateless kami?) bowling, movie, coffee.. yay :)
4. Ecosoc tambay week! DVD galore! bonding with apps :)
5. UP fair! first time.. haha.. shempre, gurang na ako di ba?
6. the end of my school burden... (when will this end?)
7. Adhoc- taskforce event! the fruit of our labor.
8. Carlo and Susy's bday.. invite nyo ako ha?
9. the end of our thesis.. (LOrd, Ipasa nyo kami...)
10. falling in love.. haaay... i wish.

although the last one's kinda far fetched... im not doing anything to make it happen. shirking, shirking again.

i have a renewed interest in Dashboard songs. :)

... im reading your note over again
and there's not a word that i comprehend
except when you signed it, "i will love you always, and forever"

well, as for now, im gonna hear the saddest songs
and wonder how you're making out
...

samantha's totally right. EMo songs are guy versions of Senti songs.

and since im happy happy joy joy, im gonna write the lyrics to my happy happy joy joy fave song by D.C.

.. my hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me
so wont you kill me? so i die happy.
my heart is yours to fill or burst,
to break or bury
or wear as jewelry, which ever you prefer.

.. hands down this is the best day i can ever remember. Always remember the sound of the stereo, the dim of the soft light, the scent of your hair that you twirl in your fingers and the time on the clock when we realized its so late, and this walk that we shared together. the streets were wet and the gate was lock so i jumped in, and i let you in. and you stood at your door with your hand on my waist and you kissed me like you meant it. I knew that you meant it... that u meant it..

aaaaw...

happy thoughts.

An (af) Fair to Dismember

It’s a horrible, terrible, good for nothing day.

Actually, I didn’t mean that. It’s just that I’m soooooo tired, really. Thesis, job fair, cases, consanguinity revelations, these things are draining all my energy and adding an additional kilo to my already heavy eye bags.

I miss Tubby. I saw her kanina before Flamethrower and I left for STS class. She was wearing a tube plaid dress and her űber fashionable fur jacket. ( Yes, it was sweltering hot outside but she’s so cool she made it appear as if it were below zero degrees). I miss her.

I took two exams today. The first one was a PS Bank exam which was, I dare say, easy and the second one (Maersk) was, uhm, “challenging”. We were supposed to answer 50 questions in 12 minutes. If it were a vocabulary or reading comprehension exercise, I’m sure I could handle it. Unfortunately, it was mostly Math-centered and fill in the blanks type of question. Goodbye, job opportunity. To think Maersk is the only company I’m interested in joining. Great, even the world is conspiring against me.

I’m not actually excited about this job- hunting thingamajiggy. My plans after college consist of sleeping, reading, traveling and eating my heart out for two years. Unfortunately, I live in the real world where a college graduate who bums around instead of helping with the household expenses is branded as a “bad daughter”. (did I mention household expenses? Thesis jargon. Yuck.)

I understand this norm and I am very much aware of the importance of compromise in this situation. Therefore, I’ve decided to sleep, read, travel and eat for an entire year. It’s a win-win situation, right? Aargh, right?
Fine. I promise to haul my sorry ass to another job hunting cycle whenever the opportunity presents itself. (what about sleep, read, travel and eat for 6 months?)

I am a bad daughter.

Our thesis is due on Monday, which in our heads is light years away. In earth’s time, however, that’s 3 days from now. Okay, I know we should be in a state of panic right now, our hair disheveled, our eyes bloodshot. Honestly, though, all we feel now is exhaustion. We are so frigging tired of arranging the data. It sucks. Every time we have a major breakthrough in our thesis/regression part, a glitch in our data appears. It seems that the need for troubleshooting is endless. Grrrr..

this is really a horrible, terrible, good for nothing day.

the Art of Shirking

I’m praying for a new divinity to sweep me off my feet.

I am dead tired from shooting clips for our STS report. Once again, I embarrassed myself by playing a pregnant woman, Mother Focker and buckling during a voice over. I realized that even though I’m a pure blooded drama queen, I couldn’t stand the attention. Truthfully, I hate it when people are watching me. I envy my friends Queer and Tubby. They’re not afraid of attention. Tubby, my ever gorgeous 10x wonder girl, auditioned as a Y Speak correspondent. Of course, with a combination of wits, charms, eloquence and a lot of bravado, she was able to make it to another round. I’m so proud of her.

My friend Queer, on the other hand, single handedly titivated (no pun intended) our STS report. He played Danilo Barrios in the Nginig portion, A Smart aleck, unfashionable home t.v. Shopping guy and Phil Koeghan in the Amazing Race spoof part. He was extremely funny.

Eeeek, should be thinking of other things far more important than updating my Blog. Like doing our thesis, calling media contacts for Adhoc- TF event, or studying for our next case in BA 190. Instead, here I am in front of my computer, just waiting for today to happen.
