i am flat broke. i dont know where my money went but its gone kaput in a matter of seconds. (of course im exaggerating) i should really be more careful in my spending. you dont know when you'll be in a state of panic.
having 11 hours of sleep, i felt fresh and rejuvenated. and since it was a tuesday, i felt the urge to be extra pretty. Nothing much on my academic life... i did enjoy, however, my STS class. there was a film clip discussing socrates, plato and aristotle. it was really interesting, considering im a deep thinker myself.
golfer and i finally passed our thesis proposal this afternoon but we encountered a "minor" glitch.. not really minor. as a matter of fact, its actually a huge one. apparently, the Annual Poverty Index Survey (APIS) which we will gather data from, did not contain some of the pertinent variables for our study. In a matter of seconds, my beautiful refreshed face aged an additional 20 years. now, i might need those retin-As my mom buys but never uses. darn thesis.
after a million years, i finally saw my friends tubby and flamethrower. as i've written in my past blog, i rarely see my friends for reasons totally out of my control. so its no surprise that i missed them alot. since there was a surfster party happening in eastwood, i decided that this would be a great place to do some catching up. Problem is, i dont have the salapi to go anywhere. i feel bad. But thanks to Susy and Geno ( the cute couple), we reached eastwood without paying a cent. we had a great time laughing our heads off as we look at our old photos from our freshman year. God, look how time flies. So many things have changed, so many people have grown, so many friendships have developed and so many relationships have shattered. It was truly a bitter sweet journey.
except for some really funny moments ( like Tubby being 5 minutes late for a megamall shuttle), the party was uneventful. After nursing a cup of beer and boracay ice (tama ba?), we decided to call it a night. Queer, who was frantic to get home because of sex and the city, shared a cab with me. We talked about my past, our pasts and how everyone has become different in a matter of four years.
Four years.. wow. it's been that long. aside from me swearing off cargo pants and rubber shoes, i feel that i didnt change that much. i just realized what i DONT like to be, so i changed myself into someone who i can justify when the time comes that i begin to question who i've become. as of now, i cant say that i know myself 100 percent or that i made the correct decisions all the time. At least for now, i can tell myself, in those 4 years, i did not become that person i will eventually hate for the rest of my life.
i rest my case.
